Borbfin, a fantasy creature story prompt

On an impulse I have decided to put some of my ideas into words this time, and I have even made some rough depictions of what I visioned when thinking up this fantasy creature, perhaps in the future said creature will be added to a future project or an entire fantasy world I have built of multiple small ideas like this one.  It will either be shown as part of a bigger ecosystem later in a fictional world I made, or more of a titular mascot sorta situation, where there's one character with a rare creature that does quite a lot.

I may have written just a simple proof of concept fantasy pilot, but I do believe I have tried to make it earnest and put my heart into it, a problem in a lot of lazily written fantasy is that people have no personal stakes in them, people just don't put their soul into things and their work just ends up having NOTHING, it has this big "Zombie" energy to it, someone who doesn't think. I am sure that if I were to develop this story further, I am sure it would be a genuine exploration of how our survival is linked to what we can produce, and how nature often aids us with survival and maybe if I were to go on writing this story, I would write about how the breeder believes he no longer needs the kingdom he is in, and motivates people to do the same and live on their own with their own means of survival. To not be reliant on those who wish to exploit them but to instead be reliant on something more special, bonding with nature.

I know enough about creative writing that I do not want to make the mistake of it seeing that I would not wanna put SOMETHING greater into this simple story, or that you could even read it as something, after all, the animal was sooner or later gonna be based off my dog who has helped me very much in my life. Now, you might not find that here, because this is just a proof of concept... And I am not sure if I am in a position in my life right now to write a whole story around it, but you can IMAGINE that I did...  Maybe the king would want Borbfin all for themselves, but the people the breeder has shared eggs with and grown relationships with help them get Borbfin back. Maybe there'd be a chapter in which Borbfin is to be used for the purpose of war, for the benefit of the oligarchs, but... Ok I think I may be drawing the line a bit too thin but you know what I mean. Borbfin! 

In writing all of this, I might have just told you a big secret of how to do it yourself if you want, well just... Earnestly write about the world around you but make it "fantasy" like here's an idea, your dog helps with depression, what about a literal fantasy creature that EATS your negative energy? Have something special to say, do not be  distinguishable from all of the other Dungeons & Dragons situations that have not much of a point to them. Borbfin is very simple, but he represents a creature that makes bad situations into good ones, converting things into good food, and that as a plot device kickstart is very good. Inspiring words aside, well, I made myself a promise to write whatever idea I have next, but it is honestly something that comes naturally when you are in a good headspace.
