Craneline Universe Chapter 1 & BETA

 What is Craneline Universe?

A Sci-Fantasy Universe of peakpoids, pointy-head goblins, their world is a bit alien, but similar to ours in many ways.

Obvious notes: Although some of these characters are somewhat inspired by myself, they are bastardizations of my intuitive thoughts and should not be trusted, there may be things about these characters I do not like and I do not agree with. 

Why?

Well when someone is in their late 20s they either make a podcast, a dnd podcast or worst: Try their luck at creating a whole fictional sci-fantasy world and story. And while the impulses of creating a structure in which you can dump your random ideas for a world is fun, there is a certain point you lose your steam due to the conditions you are in, so this project is unfinished. This is yet another project of mine ruined by Depression but it works as a proof concept that if I really felt like it and I had more support, maybe I could have written a whole fantasy novel, then again who knows, I’ve only written non-fiction until this point and this is actually my first attempt at trying to conjure a fictional world based loosely on experiences I’ve had.

Pre-emptive release and explanation of the list of contents:

When I started writing Chapter 1 and 2, and even impulsively went straight to the sequel to BOOK 1 (Yes you can imagine how scattered my mind is that as soon as I structure the way the plot is going to go in my first BOOK I immediately move to writing a sequel and how that is gonna go) I had something in me, I was riding a wave of productivity and it was mostly likely because there was a little of that in me before the current circumstances I was in got to me.

And honestly that was supposed to be one of the main messages of BOOK 1, that no matter where you are in life, you are a product of your circumstances and how you are feeling at that moment, either way, I have 0 motivation right now, no one is particularly interested in this big fantasy world I made outside of my wife who is being very supportive to me during all of this big hole in my life right now, which may be a Kafka era of my life.

TLDR: My depression got worst, the chemicals in my body aren’t quite in the right spot for me to continue writing at this time, I would rather be in a better place so that I can naturally wish to continue writing, but as of now the only way I am writing is through “Write drunk, edit sober” method, and once I realized that being drunk isn’t automatically making me write anymore I might as well cut my losses here and come back to this when I’m feeling better.

LIST OF CONTENTS:

Craneline Universe - Chapter 1 - Slave and the Royal – If anything is close to completed, this is, it is the premise, the world building, this is it. However, I never ended up finishing the timeline and only did the first years, I might have to re-write the timeline too, it’s not final.

Craneline Universe - Chapter 2 – the first part was completed but it’s just generally ideas of what I would of done in Chapter 2, I didn’t even introduce the third character: Bug. How was Bug gonna be introduced? They find a camp, Lotte due to their food eating disorder cannot help but eat it, and Bug appears on the edge of the cliff by climbing it from upside down (they were hanging off of like a bat, they’re like a cute moth person)

BOOK 2: Book 2 is supposed to be the opposite of Book 1 in every way, while Book 1 is cynical, everything goes wrong and there isn’t even a proper sense of ending, book 2 is your typical epic story, and it is much less limited due to a more post-modern approach. While book 1 is limited to a single world, Book 2 is more about… Existentialist stuff and multiverse stuff. It's funny to think that I hadn't even shown the other side of Pointe and I'm already going to high concept sequel stuff.

Craneline Editor notes: This was supposed to be creators documentary but honestly the idea is kind of silly and embarrassing, then again all of this feels embarrassing, I cannot help but just feel every action I've done 10 seconds after doing it is embarrassing now. 

CRANELINE UNIVERSE PLANNER: Oh boy, this one’s a mess. This starts off with a planner on how BOOK 1 of Craneline universe was gonna go about, it kinda has all of the events written out I just didn’t have the motivation to write it and pace it well. And RIGHT at the ending ending is the real shit show, it is just my drunk writings and ideas that maybe I would go about “Write drunk, edit sober” method, like maybe there is something salvageable there? Also I guess: SPOILER ALERT, the whole story is here and as time went I would think of means to write speeches in between and I even organized some stuff but most of it is unorganized. Anyways if you ever wanna take over on my book feel free, but I guess I started it and all that.

Contents of which I was gonna discuss in the final project (and some of it is in my editing notes) had it not been for depression or lack of interest were gonna be: 

• Eating Disorder
• Survivor Guilt
• Martyrdom
• Class war
• Rehabilitation of criminals
• Porcupine dilemma from being a silly little clumsy goblin
• Circumstances that allow people to grow, in this case literally with cocooning with the whole metaphor of bug people that look like moths.
• For the lack of a better description: Accidental rape, there was gonna be this whole story on how Bug, being a Truman show kinda deal person, was set up with romantic interests and he could feel something wrong that the people set up to be with him were forced into an idea of romance, this was gonna all be really deep and about people setting themselves up for things they're not ready for.
• No really I never got to write Bug even if they are one of the main characters but basically in my editing notes it's a character who was a "planned child" ala existentialist truman show style, in order to create the PERFECT person, but all it left them with was a sense of unreality, not knowing how to deal with situations that work out etc etc.

• Book 2 was an allegory for the iraq war and also the cold war, it was also about being lead to destabilize countries, Lotte was going to be mislead and glitch out of bounds by finding a single edge between mountains into Republic of Tanorez, going into a liminal space that looks like a church with creatures, you know my take on the backrooms.
